Surrender
Proverbs 4:23 (Sandy)
Guard Your Heart
Powerful, booming chorus, beat drop, soul, uplifting, strong female vocals, encouraging, joyful, choir, background vocal
Apr 10, 2025Listen closely, to what I’m saying
Pay attention and gain understanding
I’ll give you sound learning,
so don’t forsake my teaching.
My father told me, “Take hold of my words
keep my commands, and your life preserve
Get wisdom, get understanding
don’t forget my words don’t go running
Pay attention to what I say;
turn your ears my way
Don’t let them out of your sight,
Don’t give up the fight
keep these words in your heart;
Don’t let them depart
These words are life to those who find them
and health to those who mind them
Above all else, guard your heart,
Everything you do flows from it
You gotta guard your heart
Don’t forsake wisdom, she’ll protect you
Don’t forget to love her, she’ll watch over you
Get wisdom,though it costs you everything
Cherish understanding, she’ll exalt you
I’ll instruct you in wisdom’s way
Lead you on a path that’s straight
When you walk, you will not stumble
Hold tight and do not fumble;
Pay attention to what I say;
turn your ears my way
Don’t let them out of your sight,
Don’t give up the fight
keep these words in your heart;
Don’t let them depart
These words are life to those who find them
and health to those who mind them
Above all else, guard your heart,
Everything you do flows from it
You gotta guard your heart
The path of the righteous is like the morning sun
shining ever brighter till the light of day is full
The way of the wicked is like deep deep darkness
they don’t seem to know what makes them fall
Pay attention to what I say;
turn your ears my way
Don’t let them out of your sight,
Don’t give up the fight
keep these words in your heart;
Don’t let them depart
These words are life to those who find them
and health to those who mind them
Above all else, guard your heart,
Everything you do flows from it
You gotta guard your heart
These words are life to those who find them
and health to those who mind them
Above all else, guard your heart,
Everything you do flows from it
You gotta guard your heart
Above all else, guard your heart,
Everything you do flows from it
You gotta guard your heart
Above all else, guard your heart,
Everything you do flows from it
You gotta guard your heart
Proverbs 4
New International Version
Get Wisdom at Any Cost
4 Listen, my sons, to a father’s instruction;
pay attention and gain understanding.
2 I give you sound learning,
so do not forsake my teaching.
3 For I too was a son to my father,
still tender, and cherished by my mother.
4 Then he taught me, and he said to me,
“Take hold of my words with all your heart;
keep my commands, and you will live.
5 Get wisdom, get understanding;
do not forget my words or turn away from them.
6 Do not forsake wisdom, and she will protect you;
love her, and she will watch over you.
7 The beginning of wisdom is this: Get[a] wisdom.
Though it cost all you have,[b] get understanding.
8 Cherish her, and she will exalt you;
embrace her, and she will honor you.
9 She will give you a garland to grace your head
and present you with a glorious crown.”
10 Listen, my son, accept what I say,
and the years of your life will be many.
11 I instruct you in the way of wisdom
and lead you along straight paths.
12 When you walk, your steps will not be hampered;
when you run, you will not stumble.
13 Hold on to instruction, do not let it go;
guard it well, for it is your life.
14 Do not set foot on the path of the wicked
or walk in the way of evildoers.
15 Avoid it, do not travel on it;
turn from it and go on your way.
16 For they cannot rest until they do evil;
they are robbed of sleep till they make someone stumble.
17 They eat the bread of wickedness
and drink the wine of violence.
18 The path of the righteous is like the morning sun,
shining ever brighter till the full light of day.
19 But the way of the wicked is like deep darkness;
they do not know what makes them stumble.
20 My son, pay attention to what I say;
turn your ear to my words.
21 Do not let them out of your sight,
keep them within your heart;
22 for they are life to those who find them
and health to one’s whole body.
23 Above all else, guard your heart,
for everything you do flows from it.
24 Keep your mouth free of perversity;
keep corrupt talk far from your lips.
25 Let your eyes look straight ahead;
fix your gaze directly before you.
26 Give careful thought to the[c] paths for your feet
and be steadfast in all your ways.
27 Do not turn to the right or the left;
keep your foot from evil.

Apr 11, 2025
Now I’ll come to you
when I pass through
I may remain
Oh you know a great
and effective door
has opened to me
and there are many adversaries.
If a brother comes
see that he may be with you
without fear;
for you know He does
the work of the Lord,
Just as I also do.
I say
Watch,
stand fast in the faith,
be brave,
be strong.
Let all that you do be done
with love
Watch,
stand fast in the faith,
be brave,
be strong.
Let all that you do be done
with love
Therefore let no one
despise him.
But send him on his way in peace,
that he may come to me;
for I am waiting for him
with the brethren
I urge you, brethren
Devote yourselves
to the ministry
of the saints
also submit to
everyone who works
and labors with us.
I say
Watch,
stand fast in the faith,
be brave,
be strong.
Let all that you do be done
with love
Watch,
stand fast in the faith,
be brave,
be strong.
Let all that you do be done
with love
What was lacking on your part your brothers supplied
They refreshed my spirit and yours
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you
My love be with you all in Christ Jesus. Amen
I say
Watch,
stand fast in the faith,
be brave,
be strong.
Let all that you do be done
with love
Watch,
stand fast in the faith,
be brave,
be strong.
Let all that you do be done
with love
I say
Watch,
stand fast in the faith,
be brave,
be strong.
Let all that you do be done
with love
Watch,
stand fast in the faith,
be brave,
be strong.
Let all that you do be done
with love
1 Corinthians 16:13-141Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given orders to the churches of Galatia, so you must do also: 2On the first day of the week let each one of you lay something aside, storing up as he may prosper, that there be no collections when I come. 3And when I come, whomever you approve by your letters I will send to bear your gift to Jerusalem. 4But if it is fitting that I go also, they will go with me.
Personal Plans
5Now I will come to you when I pass through Macedonia (for I am passing through Macedonia). 6And it may be that I will remain, or even spend the winter with you, that you may send me on my journey, wherever I go. 7For I do not wish to see you now on the way; but I hope to stay a while with you, if the Lord permits.
8But I will tarry in Ephesus until Pentecost. 9For a great and effective door has opened to me, and there are many adversaries.
10And if Timothy comes, see that he may be with you without fear; for he does the work of the Lord, as I also do. 11Therefore let no one despise him. But send him on his journey in peace, that he may come to me; for I am waiting for him with the brethren.
12Now concerning our brother Apollos, I strongly urged him to come to you with the brethren, but he was quite unwilling to come at this time; however, he will come when he has a convenient time.
Final Exhortations
13Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong. 14Let all that you do be done with love.
15I urge you, brethren—you know the household of Stephanas, that it is the firstfruits of Achaia, and that they have devoted themselves to the ministry of the saints— 16that you also submit to such, and to everyone who works and labors with us.
17I am glad about the coming of Stephanas, Fortunatus, and Achaicus, for what was lacking on your part they supplied. 18For they refreshed my spirit and yours. Therefore acknowledge such men.
Greetings and a Solemn Farewell
19The churches of Asia greet you. Aquila and Priscilla greet you heartily in the Lord, with the church that is in their house. 20All the brethren greet you.
Greet one another with a holy kiss.
21The salutation with my own hand—Paul’s.
22If anyone does not love the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be accursed. O Lord, come!
23The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. 24My love be with you all in Christ Jesus. Amen.

Forever
Psalm 118-14 (Danette)
instrumental intro, sad, alternative/indie, folk, harmonies, female vocals, character and raspy tone, vocal trill
Apr 11, 2025
I cried out to the Lord When I was hard pressed
And He brought me in To a place of spacious rest
The Lord is with me I will not be afraid
What can mere mortals do When I carry His name
Give thanks to the Lord
You know He’s good
And His love endures forever
I was pushed back about to fall,
The Lord helped me through it all
The Lord is my strength and my defense
He’s become my salvation, guides my steps
You know His love
His love endures forever
Shouts resound in the tents Of joy and victory
The Lord’s right hand It is so mighty
You know that it Is lifted high
You know that I will live And I won’t die
Give thanks to the Lord
You know He’s good
And His love endures forever
I was pushed back about to fall,
The Lord helped me through it all
The Lord is my strength and my defense
He’s become my salvation, guides my steps
You know His love
His love endures forever
The stone the builders rejected
has become the cornerstone
You are my God, and I will praise you
you are my God, I will exalt you
Give thanks to the Lord
You know He’s good
And His love endures forever
I was pushed back about to fall,
The Lord helped me through it all
The Lord is my strength and my defense
He’s become my salvation, guides my steps
You know His love
His love endures forever
Give thanks to the Lord
For he is good
You know His love
His love endures forever
Psalm 118
New International Version
Psalm 118
1 Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good;
his love endures forever.
2 Let Israel say:
“His love endures forever.”
3 Let the house of Aaron say:
“His love endures forever.”
4 Let those who fear the Lord say:
“His love endures forever.”
5 When hard pressed, I cried to the Lord;
he brought me into a spacious place.
6 The Lord is with me; I will not be afraid.
What can mere mortals do to me?
7 The Lord is with me; he is my helper.
I look in triumph on my enemies.
8 It is better to take refuge in the Lord
than to trust in humans.
9 It is better to take refuge in the Lord
than to trust in princes.
10 All the nations surrounded me,
but in the name of the Lord I cut them down.
11 They surrounded me on every side,
but in the name of the Lord I cut them down.
12 They swarmed around me like bees,
but they were consumed as quickly as burning thorns;
in the name of the Lord I cut them down.
13 I was pushed back and about to fall,
but the Lord helped me.
14 The Lord is my strength and my defense[a];
he has become my salvation.
15 Shouts of joy and victory
resound in the tents of the righteous:
“The Lord’s right hand has done mighty things!
16 The Lord’s right hand is lifted high;
the Lord’s right hand has done mighty things!”
17 I will not die but live,
and will proclaim what the Lord has done.
18 The Lord has chastened me severely,
but he has not given me over to death.
19 Open for me the gates of the righteous;
I will enter and give thanks to the Lord.
20 This is the gate of the Lord
through which the righteous may enter.
21 I will give you thanks, for you answered me;
you have become my salvation.
22 The stone the builders rejected
has become the cornerstone;
23 the Lord has done this,
and it is marvelous in our eyes.
24 The Lord has done it this very day;
let us rejoice today and be glad.
25 Lord, save us!
Lord, grant us success!
26 Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.
From the house of the Lord we bless you.[b]
27 The Lord is God,
and he has made his light shine on us.
With boughs in hand, join in the festal procession
up[c] to the horns of the altar.
28 You are my God, and I will praise you;
you are my God, and I will exalt you.
29 Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good;
his love endures forever.

Joy Set Free
Isaiah 61:1-3 (Michelle)
pop, blues, female vocals, folk, country, somewhat upbeat
Apr 18, 2025
[Instrumental intro]
The Spirit of the Lord has anointed me
to bring good news to the poor and weary
He has sent me to comfort the brokenhearted
and to proclaim that captives will be released
and prisoners will be freed
[Chorus]
To all who mourn,
He will give
A crown of beauty for ashes,
A joyous blessing
Instead of weeping,
Replace their despair with praise
Oh I’ll love Him all my days
He has sent me to tell all those who grieve
that the time of His favor has come,
And with it, the day of His anger
Against their enemies
[Chorus]
To all who mourn,
He will give
A crown of beauty for ashes,
A joyous blessing
Instead of weeping,
Replace their despair with praise
Oh I’ll love Him all my days
[Bridge]
In their righteousness, they will be like great oaks
the Lord has planted for his own
[Chorus]
To all who mourn,
He will give
A crown of beauty for ashes,
A joyous blessing
Instead of weeping,
Replace their despair with praise
Oh I’ll love Him all my days
He will give
A crown of beauty for ashes,
A joyous blessing
Instead of weeping,
Replace their despair with praise
Oh I’ll love Him all my days
[spoken, no music]
“The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is upon me,
for the Lord has anointed me
to bring good news to the poor.
He has sent me to comfort the brokenhearted
and to proclaim that captives will be released
and prisoners will be freed.”
Maybe pop country if that makes sense. I love country and I love blues so that’s nice too.
“The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is upon me, for the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent me to comfort the brokenhearted and to proclaim that captives will be released and prisoners will be freed. He has sent me to tell those who mourn that the time of the Lord’s favor has come, and with it, the day of God’s anger against their enemies. To all who mourn in Israel, he will give a crown of beauty for ashes, a joyous blessing instead of mourning, festive praise instead of despair. In their righteousness, they will be like great oaks that the Lord has planted for his own glory.”

What do we gain from all we do
[Verse 2]
A generation comes and goes
The earth remains forever
The sun rises and sets
And hurries back as the cycle resets
[Pre-Chorus]
Oh this weary life
All pointless strife
What more is there to say
The eye’s not satisfied by seeing
The ear’s not satisfied with hearing
[Chorus]
What has been
Is what will be
what’s been done
Is all there is to see
There is nothing new under the sun
Everything has already been done
[Verse 3]
Can you say about anything
“Look, this thing is new”
What is now has already existed
Time is the only thing that shifted
[Verse 4]
There is no memory
Of the ones who came before
There’ll be no memory
Of any of those who follow

What’s crooked cannot be straightened
What’s lacking cannot be gained
I gained wisdom and knowledge

All pointless strife
What more is there to say
The eye’s not satisfied by seeing
The ear’s not satisfied with hearing

What has been
Is what will be

For with much wisdom is much sorrow
With knowledge is grief
I have seen all these things
And found everything
Is meaningless

God of Hope
Romans 15:13 (Danette)
Dark Pop, piano, accoustic, emotionnal, melancholic, male vocals, whisper female voice, Alternative Pop, Indie Pop, duo
Apr 18, 2025
The strong ought to bear
the failings of the weak
Not seek to please
themselves
Each of us should help
our neighbors
and build them up
for their good
May the God who gives
endurance and encouragement
give you the same attitude
that Jesus had
so that with one mind
and one voice
you may glorify God our Father
The Lord Jesus Christ.
May the God of hope
Fill you with all joy and peace
As you trust in him
So that you may overflow
With hope
By the power of the Holy Spirit
Accept one another
Just as Christ accepted you
in order to bring praise to God
I myself am sure it’s true
my brothers and sisters
that you yourselves are full of goodness
filled with knowledge
and competent to instruct one another
May the God of hope
Fill you with all joy and peace
As you trust in him
So that you may overflow
With hope
By the power of the Holy Spirit
“Those who were not told about him will see,
and those who have not heard will understand.”
That the God of hope
Will fill you with all joy and peace
As you trust in him
So that you may overflow
With hope
By the power of the Holy Spirit
the God of hope
Will fill you with all joy and peace
as you trust in him
so that you may overflow
with hope
by the power of the Holy Spirit
[music fades]
[spoken]
The God of peace be with you all.
Amen.
Romans 15:13
New International Version
15 We who are strong ought to bear with the failings of the weak and not to please ourselves. 2 Each of us should please our neighbors for their good, to build them up. 3 For even Christ did not please himself but, as it is written: “The insults of those who insult you have fallen on me.”[a] 4 For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide we might have hope.
5 May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had, 6 so that with one mind and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
7 Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God. 8 For I tell you that Christ has become a servant of the Jews[b] on behalf of God’s truth, so that the promises made to the patriarchs might be confirmed 9 and, moreover, that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy. As it is written:
“Therefore I will praise you among the Gentiles;
I will sing the praises of your name.”[c]
10 Again, it says,
“Rejoice, you Gentiles, with his people.”[d]
11 And again,
“Praise the Lord, all you Gentiles;
let all the peoples extol him.”[e]
12 And again, Isaiah says,
“The Root of Jesse will spring up,
one who will arise to rule over the nations;
in him the Gentiles will hope.”[f]
13 May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Paul the Minister to the Gentiles
14 I myself am convinced, my brothers and sisters, that you yourselves are full of goodness, filled with knowledge and competent to instruct one another. 15 Yet I have written you quite boldly on some points to remind you of them again, because of the grace God gave me 16 to be a minister of Christ Jesus to the Gentiles. He gave me the priestly duty of proclaiming the gospel of God, so that the Gentiles might become an offering acceptable to God, sanctified by the Holy Spirit.
17 Therefore I glory in Christ Jesus in my service to God. 18 I will not venture to speak of anything except what Christ has accomplished through me in leading the Gentiles to obey God by what I have said and done— 19 by the power of signs and wonders, through the power of the Spirit of God. So from Jerusalem all the way around to Illyricum, I have fully proclaimed the gospel of Christ. 20 It has always been my ambition to preach the gospel where Christ was not known, so that I would not be building on someone else’s foundation. 21 Rather, as it is written:
“Those who were not told about him will see,
and those who have not heard will understand.”[g]
22 This is why I have often been hindered from coming to you.
Paul’s Plan to Visit Rome
23 But now that there is no more place for me to work in these regions, and since I have been longing for many years to visit you, 24 I plan to do so when I go to Spain. I hope to see you while passing through and to have you assist me on my journey there, after I have enjoyed your company for a while. 25 Now, however, I am on my way to Jerusalem in the service of the Lord’s people there. 26 For Macedonia and Achaia were pleased to make a contribution for the poor among the Lord’s people in Jerusalem. 27 They were pleased to do it, and indeed they owe it to them. For if the Gentiles have shared in the Jews’ spiritual blessings, they owe it to the Jews to share with them their material blessings. 28 So after I have completed this task and have made sure that they have received this contribution, I will go to Spain and visit you on the way. 29 I know that when I come to you, I will come in the full measure of the blessing of Christ.
30 I urge you, brothers and sisters, by our Lord Jesus Christ and by the love of the Spirit, to join me in my struggle by praying to God for me. 31 Pray that I may be kept safe from the unbelievers in Judea and that the contribution I take to Jerusalem may be favorably received by the Lord’s people there, 32 so that I may come to you with joy, by God’s will, and in your company be refreshed. 33 The God of peace be with you all. Amen.

Pure Joy
James 1:2-4 (LZ)
Powerful, booming chorus, beat drop, soul, uplifting, strong female vocals, encouraging, joyful, choir, background vocal
Apr 11, 2025
If you lack wisdom
Ask God who gives to all
without finding fault
And when you ask
it will be given to you
If you believe it's true
The one who doubts is like a wave
Tossed by the sea,
They should not expect
To get anything
But consider it pure joy
brothers and sisters (Joy)
whenever you face your trials
because you know (Joy)
the testing of your faith
produces perseverance (Joy)
And it must finish its work
so that you may be complete (Joy)
and lacking nothing
(Joy)
Believers in humble circumstances
Should take pride in their high position.
But the rich should take pride
in their humiliation
Yeah they will pass away
like a wildflower
But consider it pure joy
brothers and sisters (Joy)
whenever you face your trials
because you know (Joy)
the testing of your faith
produces perseverance (Joy)
And it must finish its work
so that you may be complete (Joy)
and lacking nothing
(Joy)
Every good and perfect gift
is from above,
coming down from the Father of heavenly lights
He doesn’t change like shifting shadows
He gave us birth
through the word of truth
that we might be His firstfruits
But consider it pure joy
brothers and sisters (Joy)
whenever you face your trials
because you know (Joy)
the testing of your faith
produces perseverance (Joy)
And it must finish its work
so that you may be complete (Joy)
and lacking nothing

And it must finish its work

James 1
1James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ,
To the twelve tribes scattered among the nations:
Greetings.
Trials and Temptations
2Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. 4Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. 5If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. 6But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. 7That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. 8Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do.
9Believers in humble circumstances ought to take pride in their high position. 10But the rich should take pride in their humiliation—since they will pass away like a wild flower. 11For the sun rises with scorching heat and withers the plant; its blossom falls and its beauty is destroyed. In the same way, the rich will fade away even while they go about their business.
12Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.
13When tempted, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone; 14but each person is tempted when they are dragged away by their own evil desire and enticed. 15Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death.
16Don’t be deceived, my dear brothers and sisters. 17Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. 18He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of all he created.
Listening and Doing
19My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, 20because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires. 21Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save you.
22Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. 23Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror 24and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. 25But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it—not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it—they will be blessed in what they do.
26Those who consider themselves religious and yet do not keep a tight rein on their tongues deceive themselves, and their religion is worthless. 27Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.

Prayer of Thanksgiving
Psalms 121:1-2 (LZ)
female vocals, slow, sad, melodic, mellow, dreamy
Apr 18, 2025
**[Soft instrumental intro]*
Sometimes I’m filled with doubt
There are things in this life I want
Or maybe I don’t, it's hard to say
And I am unsure of your ways
But I’ll lift my eyes to the hills
You are where my help comes from
You are faithful through it all,
You are loving and I am in awe
Every trial is apart of your plan
You are working in ways I can’t understand
Still your blessings are raining down on me
Your peace and your Spirit still fill me
I thank you Jesus, you are wonderful
Oh my God, through it all, you are faithful
My wheels start to spin
And the panic sets in
Do I have all that I need
What will I choose to believe
So I lift my eyes to the hills
You are where my help comes from
You are faithful through it all,
You are loving and I am in awe
Every trial is apart of your plan
You are working in ways I can’t understand
Still your blessings are raining down on me
Your peace and your Spirit still fill me
I thank you Jesus, you are wonderful
Oh my God, through it all, you are faithful
[Bridge]
You created the heavens and earth
and you can do as you please,
and still you choose to love me.
Oh I thank you God, and it’s true
[softly]
You are faithful through it all,
You are loving and I am in awe
Every trial is apart of your plan
You are working in ways I can’t understand
[louder booming finale]
Still your blessings are raining down on me
Your peace and your Spirit still fill me
I thank you Jesus, you are wonderful
Oh my God, through it all, you are faithful
[softly]
Oh it's true, through it all, you are faithful
[softly spoken prayer like]
I lift up my eyes to the hills
You are where my help comes from
This song was derived from a Bible verse and an entry in my journal from 2020 where I confessed my fears to God and surrendered to His will because I know above all else, He is loving and faithful.
Psalm 121
My Help Comes from the Lord
A Song ofAscents.
1I lift up my eyes to the hills.
From where does my help come?
2 My help comes from the Lord,
who made heaven and earth.
3He will not let your foot be moved;
he who keeps you will not slumber.
4Behold, he who keeps Israel
will neither slumber nor sleep.
5The Lord is your keeper;
the Lord is your shade on your right hand.
6 The sun shall not strike you by day,
nor the moon by night.
7The Lord will keep you from all evil;
he will keep your life.
8The Lord will keep
your going out and your coming in
from this time forth and forevermore.
